Humboldt Lab

The Humboldt Lab Dahlem contributes to and enriches the plans put forward by the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst as they progress towards the opening of the Humboldt-Forum. The Lab enables a team of museum curators, designers, artists, and scholars to work closely together as they gain valuable experience by completing a series of concentrated, short projects. Since March 2013 the results from these projects have been presented in the Dahlem Museums under the name “Probebühne”. The projects aim to highlight the material challenges that face a modern-day exhibition that spans the ethnographic and the artistic.

In the Humboldt Lab Blog the projects – including exhibitions, interventions, symposiums and performances – and their actors will be presented.
