Suggested and Upcoming Events

ArtRabbit brings you the latest activity from the organisations and people you want to know about.

Follow your favourite project spaces and galleries, curators and artists, save events you’re interested in, and ArtRabbit does the rest. We’ll let you know what’s coming up from places and people you follow, and tell you about other events we think you’ll like. You never need to miss another exhibition, preview, performance or launch event.

How do I get Suggested and Upcoming Events?

Use the ‘Save’ and ‘Follow’ buttons wherever you see them to keep track of events, organisations and people you’re interested in. You can always save or follow using the (+) button.

What’s the difference between Suggested and Upcoming Events?

Upcoming Events tells you what’s coming up soon at organisations or involving people you follow.
Suggested Events lets you know about events we think you might be interested in.

How do suggested events work?

Just hit the ‘Save’ (+) button next to events you’re interested in. You’ll find the button wherever events appear on ArtRabbit, on specific events:

Save Event

and in listing pages:

Events listing

ArtRabbit will use this information to suggest other events you might be interested in. The current list of which events you’ve saved is always available in your account.

Where do suggested events appear?

Suggested events appear under the Suggested tab in Your Account.

Why are particular events suggested to me?

ArtRabbit uses its information about who’s saved which events to work out which other events you might be interested in. Right now it suggests events based on people and organisations followed by other users who saved the same events you did. Over time it’ll start to suggest events based on other relationships and criteria.

To find out why a particular event was suggested, click on the question mark in the ‘action’ menu below it.

How do upcoming events work?

Like with suggested events, just hit the ‘Follow’ button (+) next to all the organisations and people you want to keep up-to-date with. You’ll find the button next to venues, artists and curators wherever they appear on ArtRabbit, on their profiles:

Follow venue

and in listing pages:

Venue listing

The current list of who you follow is always available in your account. ArtRabbit will let you know whenever they have new events coming up.

Where do upcoming events appear?

New events appear under the Upcoming tab in Your Account, and we send them direct via email if you choose.

Notifications about new upcoming events also appear in your feed, which you’ll find by clicking your profile icon in the top right corner of the ArtRabbit website. The feed also shows your activity on ArtRabbit, for example events you’ve added, or if someone follows you.

Email Notifications

ArtRabbit emails you whenever there are events starting tomorrow, either at organisations you follow or involving people you follow. Emails include basic information about the events and venues, along with links you can use to read more and share the events online.

If you don’t want to receive the emails you can change your notification preferences in your account settings:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the ArtRabbit website
  2. Click on ‘Your Account’
  3. Click on ‘Settings’
  4. Scroll to the bottom of your settings page and tick ‘Don't send me notification emails about upcoming events’

You can turn the emails on or off at any time.

Information for venues

Make sure you add your current and upcoming events and exhibitions to your personalised gallery profile. We’ll keep your followers up to date with on-site notifications and targeted emails.
