Jamaican contemporary artist Nasha Bradshaw will be showcasing his stunning pieces in his 2nd Solo exhibition at the gallery.

Born in Clarendon Jamaica. Currently residing in London UK.

About

Nasha has been interested in Art from a very young age and drew his first piece at the age of four. He was known locally as the Artist growing up. Nasha studied Art at Holmwood Technical High but is mainly self taught.

From his tranquil upbringing in rural Jamaica, his love for nature and mother earth, to his current interest in the rastafarian culture has all heavily influenced his work so current issues such as climate change and world events have had a profound impact on him this is reflected in a few of his most recent pieces. His Art in intended to evoke deep emotions within the viewer. No matter the topic whether  sad ,angry, happy Nasha tries to depict his work in a positive light and shows this with his love of bright colours for example a piece depicting heavy topics such as oppression climate change or slavery could still have a beautiful sunset in the background.

As well as his ability to paint, for over a year Nasha has developed a technique creating stunning 3D pieces that are as he passionately explores the beauty of the island of Jamaica and its natives through the use of vibrant colours and textures. Adding intricate detail to his pieces, each one unique and made with passion. He sculpts pieces on the canvas and adds real items that are infused in to his pieces making them jump off the canvas, with an outstanding eye for colour, Nasha’s artwork never fails to impress and provoke conversation.

“The pieces selected for this exhibition are all different but speaks the same volume. A mix of 3d acrylic  3d sculpture and acrylic on board and on canvas reflecting beauty and strength in different textures and mediums.” - Artist Nasha Bradshaw

“In 2017, Nasha came in one day to show me his artwork and I was blown away by they skill and attention to detail. His artwork highlights important issues in a beautiful way. He is a passionate, dedicated artist and it has always been a pleasure working with such a talent. His artwork really does need to be seen and I hope that through his exhibition ‘The Texture of Beauty” he will get the exposure and the recognition he so deserves!”
