What is an artist's studio today, and tomorrow?
About
This new group show and project, curated by A M Hanson and premiering during Photo Month Festival, features works reacting and responding to studio life and experience in the capital and beyond by a gathering of emerging and established artists; Billa Baldwin, Nicky Carvell, Racheal Crowther X Dan Szor, Alex Dipple, Peter J Fish, Sam Giles, A M Hanson, Rosemary Hudson, kennardphillipps, Adam Sach, Rael Stone, Jenkin Van Zyl.
Beyond app based palettes, physical spaces remain vital for experimentation and production. Solitude for some, social and collaborative engagement for others. Studios are disappearing to other construction across London and this pattern is mirrored elsewhere. Some organisations are thriving with work space formats and communities. More are needed, and in more diverse forms. Studio settings are a life line for many kinds of practice. Cities of concrete and chrome crumble without these fruitful energies.
