A.M. Hanson is an artist, photographer and curator. His photo practice exercises the city itself as a studio device.
Archive photographs can now be seen in a range of art, fashion books and biographies such as Leigh Bowery (Violette Editions) and Alexander McQueen The Life and The Legacy (Harper Design).
Recent solo shows include A Distant, Darkened Lobby (Limbo Arts, Margate) - installations and films which re-imagine office spaces as fragments of artists' studios - and Interior, Light, Shade (Regent’s Place, London). Recent group shows include Business As Usual (North Contemporary & Turf Projects) and at Lubomirov / Angus-Hughes Gallery, London. Work has featured in magazines Dance Theatre Journal (UK), Gazelland (USA) and GQ Style (South Africa) and others.
