Join poet Simon Pomery for a poetry workshop inspired by the work of Los Carpinteros. Read poems with vivid spatial awareness, and try and access regions of your minds you’ve never been to before. Focusing on poems with a special understanding and investigation of space, you will also look at Euclidians poems by Breton poet Guillevic (1907-1997), and make poems out of the barest of shapes. All levels are welcome! This event is held in partnership with the drawing shed.

About

Join us for a poetry workshop inspired by the work of Los Carpinteros, where we will read poems with vivid spatial awareness, and try and access regions of our minds we haven’t been to before. We will look at poems that have a special understanding and investigation of space, but also at the Euclidians poems by Breton poet Guillevic (1907-1997), to see if we can make poems out of the barest of shapes. All levels are welcome!

Quote from a previous participant: “I really enjoyed the workshop and found it very inspiring. It was extremely well led, fun and not at all intimidating.”
