Twitter as archive/as sketchbook/as feedback loop/as void/as filesharing network/as an instrument of collaboration/as a megaphone/as therapy.
I’m not sure if i think something unless i write it or tweet it u kno. For 7 days i’ll host 7 guests to discuss the potential Twitter has to be a discursive space; host to a new, more unstable form of writing/speech. The uncomfortability it can have, the awkwardness of speaking publicly in that specific way; the way it provides a softer landing sometimes. How do u feel about it all? My guests are all writers/artists/twitter dons; people i see on my newsfeed, my ‘here’s what u missed’ section. I’ll be speaking to Ami Clarke about the project and rethinking and analysing our conversation around what we’re trying to do; and Gabrielle de la Puente, my co-collaborator as the White Pube, and we’ll talk about the way we share a twitter account, and use twitter as a space to talk critically about art in a looser, less formal, but still critical, way.. mapping the way I (as an artist, writer, and wannabe twitter don) navigate this space to pick at behaviours i’ve normalised, like a scab.
