Inside Art: Creative Responses to the Collection by Young Offenders

During 2010 National Gallery Education delivered the second of an annual series of practical art projects on site at HMYOI Feltham, a juvenile prison and young offenders institution for young men aged 15—21. This display features work made by the 30 young men involved. The four projects, which each lasted a week, focused on practical techniques including sculpture, drawing and painting, and explored themes from the collection including the body, landscape, light and perspective.
