About
The exhibition conflates themes of disembodiment, apathy and perpetual adolescence to construct immediate social relations as a byproduct of the screen. The work examines the nostalgic strictures and simplistic morality that were presented in the architecture of the Germanic filmic genre of Heimatfilme or ‘home-land film’, offloading them into the physical space of the gallery and proposing it as a space for heightened digital vision, withered expectations, performed earnestness and emotions.
