The second group show of the newly opened Aluniș Art Center brings together works by Smaranda Isar, Victor Costache and Dinu Mihai Fălcoianu
About
The "Astral. Geometric. Ancestral" group show is built on a dialogue between representatives of two generations of Romanian contemporary artists exploring sacred geometry and ancient symbolism in their artistic practices. On one hand, we have Smaranda Isar and Victor Costache, a young artist duo experimenting with ceramics and other media of artistic expression and on the other hand we have painter Dinu Mihai Fălcoianu, who graduated from "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Visual Arts in Bucharest in 1984 and who is a member of UAP (Romanian Artists' Union).
Curated by Ana Daniela Sultana, the exhibition presents ceramic design objects together with textile installations, painting and gravure printing.
The exhibition is part of the artistic programme put together by Iulia Gabriela Sîrbu, founder of Aluniș Art Center.
