“ADAPTATION: Celebrating the human ability to adjust to new conditions, reflecting and re-interpreting according to changed circumstances.”
A fine art exhibition showcases compositions in multiple disciplines by like-minded contemporary artists.
About
Exhibitors: Suzy Abrahams, Orsi Cowell-Lehoczky, Wilf Frost, Dani Humberstone, Vivien Phelan, Heather Tobias, and Ann Marie Whaley.
The idea for this group show had only started taking shape shortly before the first Covid lockdown in January 2020: And it was swiftly put on hold. Everything had changed overnight, and for some of us, it became challenging to face all the hurdles of this new reality. Adaptability has turned out to be the key: adapting to the constraints, finding a way to solve the seemingly unsolvable, or filling in the ever-stretching present time with exploits of the past... Reacting as an artist, as a private person, and as a member of the closer and wider community appeared all-consuming. However, it was still possible to find a group of like-minded artists to collaborate - amidst these uncertain circumstances - and with a shared impulse: To celebrate our incredible ability to adjust, no matter what.
