About
These paintings will be displayed alongside key Scottish works from the Jerwood Collection, inviting an unprecedented conversation between these two important private collections from the United Kingdom.
The Fleming Collection, which is widely regarded as the finest collection of Scottish art in private hands, is the only dedicated gallery granting public access to Scottish art all year round.
The collection that was formed by the Flemings (the former merchant bank) over 32 years comprises over 750 oils and watercolours from 1770 to the present day.
Particularly noted for its paintings by the Scottish Colourists, the collection also holds paintings by the Glasgow Boys as well as seminal works by Anne Redpath and her contemporaries.
The event, A Highland Fling at Jerwood Gallery with Whisky and Cheese, complements this exhibition.
