Wood Street Walls is a collective aimed at creating a sustainable link between the local and artistic communities of Waltham Forest through public art, affordable studio space and free workshops.  Our goals are:

- To make art accessible for the residents of and visitors to Waltham Forest through the erection and installation of outdoor public art.
- To establish a new creative hub for the area: Wood Street Studios, by repurposing a disused and derelict building.
- To provide free workshops to the local community lead by our resident artists in return for affordable rent.

Since launching a year ago WSW have erected 14 murals by artists such as Conor Harrington, Static & ATMA, worked with local schools to teach them about urban art with such artists as Malarky and worked events like the Walthamstow Garden Party, as well as establishing a FREE street art walking tour, (check out our map on our Art Rabbit page here).

With over thirty five thousand pounds raised from local businesses and residents Wood Street Walls are only a few thousand pounds away from reaching their target and making "Wood Street Studios" a reality. To donate visit http://www.woodstreetstudios.co.uk/

For any artists wanting to get involved looking for walls to paint or looking for affordable studio space in East London (wood Street/Walthamstow) you can get in touch by emailing hello@woodstreetwalls.co.uk.
