The Magda Danysz Gallery is an international contemporary art gallery. Open since 1999 in Paris, it is now located in Shanghai as well since 2009 where it has been considered the city’s biggest gallery. Since 2015 the gallery has also acquired a new location in London.

Magda Danysz Gallery presents 20 to 30 exhibitions each year in every of its locations. It shines light on street art stars such as JR, FUTURA, JonOne or Shepard Fairey; on chinese contemporary art with Huang Rui, Wang Keping or Maleonn; on photography with famous Erwin Olaf and on painting and drawing as well. As a talent spotter, it supports the most promising new artists, like Prune Nourry who distinguishes herself by the extent of her projects allying sculpture, video and installation, or like VHILS, a multi-talented artist who works as much on walls with a drill than on wood, metal or paper.

The gallery has varied areas of expertise. Pioneer in the presentation of Street Art, Popsurrealism or chinese photography, it distinguishes itself by a specialized programming like its involved choices.

Magda Danysz works as a curator with many museums and foundations, such as Power Station of Art in Shanghai, the Cent-Quatre or the Guimet museum in Paris, CAFA in Beijing or Volklinger Huette in Germany. She also participates in fairs around the world and contributes to extend her advisor role with collectors by publishing books and giving lectures.
