Karlin Studios

After the reconstruction of a large factory hall in Karlín, a former industrial district in Prague 8, a unique complex of art studios and galleries was built, Karlin Studios, which became the first of its kind in Prague. The founder and initiator of this non-profit project is FUTURA, os, which is also one of the members of the Karlin Studios civic association. 

The multifunctional cultural center houses two studios, which are used by foreign artists who are invited to Prague as part of the FUTURO residency program.

The central space is used by the Karlin Studios Gallery, which is dramaturgically focused not only on the presentation of new works by artists themselves from local studios, but also by young Czech and foreign artists who would find it difficult to find adequate and generous spaces for the implementation of their alternative galleries. projects.
