Jüdisches Museum Berlin is Europe’s largest Jewish museum. The zig-zag shaped building designed by Daniel Libeskind expresses Jewish-German history through impressive architectural symbolism.
After a two-year reconstruction, the core exhibition opened on 23 August 2020. With new focus and scenography, it presents Jewish history, culture and present life in Germany. The chronological tour is complemented by cultural insights, which approach a variety of topics from Jewish perspectives. Is there a distinctive Jewish art? Which sounds does Judaism have? In addition to original objects, visitors can engage in a variety of audio-visual media, virtual reality, art installations, interactive games and hands-on-stations.
