Grizedale Forest, Forestry England

Set in the Lake District National Park, Grizedale Forest has a unique and long-standing heritage as the site of the UK’s first programme of publically accessible sculpture in the landscape. Established in 1977, artists have been responding to the landscape using a variety of materials, techniques and scale. Today the forest continues to welcome visitors of all ages to explore the forest landscape and encounter the artworks which inhabit it. Alongside the collection of site specific artworks is a rolling programme of contemporary exhibitions hosted in the forest gallery.
