Greater Denton Arts Council

Greater Denton Arts Council has been one of the leading cultural organizations in Denton for the past 50 years. Since the founding in 1968, GDAC has continued to act as a catalyst for innovation and creativity in the Arts in the North Texas area. The Council's main building the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center hosts our 3 exhibition galleries and our classroom space. Classes include summer and after school programs for students and workshops for adults. Exhibitions range from local to international artists, including the annual international Materials Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft Competition and Exhibition. When not teaching our own art classes, the Council lends the space to other local arts and music organizations that do not have a space of their own to conduct meetings or workshops.
