Art Licks

Art Licks is a platform for emerging London art activities and new initiatives. The website offers publicity to art events in the capital that have limited budgets in press and marketing. Art Licks acts as the primary information point for art audiences, providing a weekly events listing alongside an opportunities page, seeking out the best up and coming artist run spaces, artist collectives, curatorial groups, exhibitions, performances and publication events. Art Licks launched in January 2010.

The Art Licks Magazine stems from this context. Both the website and the magazine are about looking beyond the obvious, behind the commercial and the mainstream at what artists, curators and galleriests are doing and thinking.

Rather than being written about the new artists and art initiatives taking place, this magazine is written by the people behind these happenings; providing a platform for discussion and giving the reader an insight in to the emerging arts scene.

And if that's not enough, you can always book on to an Art Licks Tour - where we'll take you to East or South London to explore the hottest galleries and studio spaces.
