London-based artist Yu-Chen Wang is undertaking a residency at MOSI for creating new work for exhibition 'The Imitation Game' at Manchester Art Gallery and a solo show at MOSI in Spring 2016.
About
London-based artist Yu-Chen Wang is currently undertaking a residency at Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. She will create new work for exhibition 'The Imitation Game' at Manchester Art Gallery and a solo show at MOSI in Spring 2016.
Yu-Chen will spend two months researching the collection and archives at MOSI and create drawings of two chosen machines, focusing on human-like features and qualities. As well as drawings, she will create sci-fi texts and live performance; dialogues between the two machines talking about their lives and the industrial history, as if the eyes of the machines are seeing the world.
Yu-Chen has been twittering and blogging about her residency. You can follow the latest updates.
