Join us at Cadogan Hall for a concert by the Duo Sabîl (Ahmad Al Khatib, composition and oud, Youssef Hbeisch, percussions) with one of the most famous classical guitarists John Williams in support of the Gaza Music School and the Beit Almusiqa (Shafa'amr) programme.On Tuesday 23rd October, 7.30pm
During the concert, the Duo will perform its own acclaimed repertoire. The two Palestinian musicians will then present John Williams who will perform pieces from his incredible range, before joining the Duo in what promises to be a spectacular joint performance to end the evening.
Born in 1974, Ahmad Al Khatib learned oud with the Palestinian master Ahmad Abdel Qase. In 1997, he joined the Edward Said National Conservatory in Jerusalem, teaching in the Oriental Music Department and soon heading it.
Born in 1967, Youssef Hbeisch lives between Paris and Haifa. He taught for 7 years at the Edward Said National Conservatory and for 10 years at Beit AlMusica (Galilee) and gives academic seminars and master classes on a regular basis.
