About

Xie Xiaoze's paintings of books and manuscripts reflect on the history and tradition of how knowledge is passed through the media in his Chinese homeland, as well as in the West. Xiaoze’s works explore how ideas are both crafted and transmitted through the written word and how the motives of the author can shape the understanding by the reader.
