About
"Women Can't Paint" will feature work from established female international painters including Rose Wylie, Eva Hesse, Rosa Lee, Stevie Dix, Hannah Murgatroyd, Clare Price, Cherry Pickles, Jane Harris, Josephine Wood, Emma Roche, Susan Rothenberg, Roberta Booth and more to be confirmed.
"Women Can’t Paint" is a spirited retort to Baselitz’s spurious comments. The title provides a brilliant device that enables us to put on a show that celebrates painting. The Turps curatorial ethos is about a supported network with the privilege of seeing established artists alongside the marginalised and the overlooked.
The exhibition will be split across Turps Gallery and ASC Gallery, both situated within Taplow House in south east London.
