Visual artist SimOne announces all-female show, Woman Enough at The Loft, Croydon Arts Store from Thursday 19th September to Saturday 21st September 2019.

About

Croydon-based contemporary artist SimOne will host her highly anticipated debut solo exhibition: Woman Enough, at  the LOFT at Croydon Arts Store (CAS) from Thursday 19th Sept to Saturday 21st Sept 2019.

SimOne's work has been shown at White City House, Google UK, HARTslane gallery and pop-ups across London. She is renowned for her striking palettes and unique blend of abstract art and portraiture. This exhibition brings her latest collection of all-female figurative paintings together to form the largest display of her work to date, including never before seen pieces.

Though the message is relevant for all, Woman Enough hones in on the female experience, with a play on the phrase ‘Are you man enough?’ reframed as a statement of “enoughness” with no question, for anyone who identifies as a woman.

An interactive mirror mural installation will complete the exhibition, with visitors invited to scribe empowering ‘notes to self’ on the mirror to promote positive self-image and internal dialogue through the power of words.

The Private View and launch party, from 5pm-8pm on Thursday 19th September will showcase the work against a backdrop of soulful music and include a breakout space for people to express their own creativity, inspired by the concept.
