Baroque II Urban editia a III-a vine anul acesta cu un concept nou, cu o locație nouă și o expoziție care aduce în prim plan artiste importante ale scenei contemporane și moderne românești și est Europene, personalități fascinante și diverse, femei pe care le unește o forță deosebită, o putere de înțelegere, sintetizare și exprimare inedită, o dorință de cunoaștere și o capacitate creativă de excepție.

Care sunt poveștile din spatele cortinelor artei contemporane feminine românești și cum asumă artistele vizuale din România și estul Europei acest sistem simbolic spectacular? Cum se plasează personajul ARTISTEI în imaginarul eticii sociale contemporane ? Cum se raportează femeia- artist la propriul corp sau la corpul altor femei?

Prin expoziția | WOMAN, ALL TOO WOMAN | deschidem ușile interpretărilor mitologiilor personale, susținem scena care explorează raportul vizual dintre public, privat și intim.

Ne-am propus și am reușit să venim în întâmpinarea publicului cu o formă inedită, contemporană și participativă de expunere a artei într-o manieră accesibilă, care să îi facă pe vizitatori să fie ei înșiși protagoniști într-o expoziție de artă, să învețe să privească arta cu o deschidere mai mare către practicile actuale și să se implice în evenimentele special dedicate, cum sunt programele pentru familie, copii, persoane cu deficiențe de văz și auz, persoane cu deficiențe locomotorii.

The 3rd edition of Baroque Urban II comes this year with a new concept, new location and an exhibition that brings important female artists into the spotlight, selected from the contemporary and modern, Romanian and East-European art scene, fascinating and diverse figures, women united by an extraordinary strength, by the force to understand, synthesize and innovatively express themselves, by a desire to know and by an exceptional creative capacity.

What are the stories behind the curtains of the feminine Romanian contemporary art and how do the Romanian and East-European female visual artists assume this spectacular and symbolical system? How is the character of the Female Artist placed in the context of the contemporary social ethics? How does the female-artist relate to her own body or to other women’s bodies?

Through this exhibition |WOMAN, ALL TO WOMAN| we are opening the doors to personal mythological interpretations, we support the scene that explores the rapport built between the public, private and intimate realms.

We aimed to and succeeded to present to the public with a unique, contemporary and participative form of displaying art in an accessible manner that would make visitors themselves to be protagonists in an art exhibition, to learn to look at art with greater openness to contemporary art practices, and to engage in special events dedicated to families , children and people with hearing and hearing impairment, people with locomotor deficiencies.
