Willard Wigan MBE is bringing his celebrated collection of micro-sculptures to Resorts World for an exhibition run between Saturday 4th November and Friday 22nd December. You’ll find the exhibition next to ProCook and opposite Lindt in the Resorts World shopping mall.

About

Willard Wigan at Resorts World will show at least 25 pieces from his collection, artworks which sit within the eye of a needle or on the head of a pin, including iconic figures and snapshots such as Pinocchio, Cinderella and Christ the Redeemer.

His works truly have to be seen to be believed! By looking down the microscope at some of Wigan’s most popular sculptures, you’ll be able to spy “Evolution (from ape to man)”, “The Last Supper” and the Guinness World Record holding sculpture “Golden Voyage” - a motorbike carved from specs of gold inside a hollowed out human hair.

The micro sculptor, who was born in Wolverhampton, is famous for sculpting the world’s smallest works of art and has been celebrated in the Guinness Book of World Records. Famous works include a replica of the Coronation Crown created in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee which now resides at Buckingham Palace. He was awarded an MBE for services to art in 2007.

Make a day of your visit too with extra VIP discounts at our shops, bars and restaurants, such as 20% off at Levi’s, a free side with a 6oz burger at Gourmet Burger Kitchen and 20% off food at The World Bar. Simply show your Willard Wigan exhibition ticket at Guest Services in the atrium to receive your VIP card to use during your visit.

Tickets can be bought on the door or booked via EventBrite.
