An exhibition of prints and paintings by artist, poet and singer songwriter Ingrid Andrew

About

Opening & live music/poetry: Friday 18th of September 2009 - 6 pm to 11 pm Exhibition runs from: Friday 18th to 24th of September 2009 Gallery Opening Hours: Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs: 2.30 pm - 6.30 pm Last day of Exhibition: Thurs 24th of September: 11.00am to 5.00pm Drawing and writing have been for over 35 years at the heart of Ingrid Andrew's work as an artist and poet. More recently she has morphed into a singer songwriter and has held regular performances in South London as well as in our capital's town centre. Over recent years Ingrid Andrew's work has become more deeply involved in the primordial power and mythological strength of ‘woman'. Her works celebrate unadulterated womanhood, sending out a clear and powerful, yet lyrical and witty message to all females and males in the world As a very prolific, multi-talented and very versatile artist, this exhibition is a selection of her paintings and drawings, still lives, portraits and landscapes. There is also a slide show on view of her evolving performance piece and poem 'When Woman created the World.' In addition, on the opening night, Friday 18th September WOMAN will be danced into being, with song and poetry by Ingrid and poet friends and contributors. A quick word to all art lovers and collectors: All paintings and prints are for sale.
