Two years on from the first Covid-19 lockdown, explore the lockdown artwork of Pontefract-based artist Rachel List.
About
The Covid-19 lockdowns meant Rachel was unable to work as normal, so she started painting big, bright murals around Pontefract, honouring the work of NHS staff and other pandemic heroes.Rachel has recreated these murals for Pontefract Museum, which you can see alongside two films exploring Rachel’s story and the role of community in Pontefract during the pandemic.
