This is a course for everyone - from a beginner to the very experienced drawer. Each class will have a particular emphasis, as well responding to the needs of each student, one-to-one. The building blocks of observational drawing will be taught over the duration of the term: proportion; composition; space and scale; movement; tonal values and mark making. The tactility of drawing will be considered, as well as developing an awareness of how our emotions, thoughts and energy influence our work. Length of poses will vary from a few minutes to ultimately sustaining the life of a drawing over several sessions.
