Michael Szpakowski curates new and not-so-new works by artists making work made possible through the internet and recycle/remix culture.
About
We Are Not Alone is a group exhibition curated by web-artist Michael Szpakowski. The exhibition features emerging makers that utilise the internet in their work, alongside artists that have been working with the internet since its early days.
The idea of WEB 2.0 is the central theme of You Are Not Alone and Michael is especially interested in artists (and the web community) recycling and remixing content to create new possibilities and meanings. The show will also feature works created by a web audience, through a competition where participants are invited to ‘re-mix’ works in the exhibition (which in turn will become part of the exhibition themselves).
Artists include Ruth Catlow, Robert Croma, Doran Golan, Michael Szpakowski, Liz Sterry and Empress of Blandings
