About

Almost all his work is based on a lifelong familiarity with a particular North Welsh maritime sand-hill system which he still regularly visits to make on-site work. Although his paintings on canvas are non-depictive they convey through their naturalistic colouring a sense of outside space, light and place.  He has exhibited widely in the UK, and also in Canada, the States and Italy.
