AboutBruce Davies is the current Arts Council South West Impact Fund resident artist at Holton Lee. His two-month residency is to provide him with the opportunity to develop his potential as a professional.
He creates sculptural forms in the landscape at Holton Lee out of natural waste. The material results from the land management processes used in the heathland restoration taking place at the 350-acre charity, which is between Wareham and Poole, in Dorset.
In WASTE/LAND/PROCESS Davies presents another way to engage with the landscape by drawing on the historical uses of the flora of the heath and its traditional management techniques to establish a new ephemeral platform for his work.
