Walk, Don’t Walk showcases intricate monochrome linocuts of New York City, created as an ode to a slower pace of life. The collection documents a journey on foot capturing iconic vistas while evoking a sense of calm within the urban landscape.
About
London-based printmaker Hannah Cousins creates sophisticated linocut pieces in a refined and crisp graphic style, capturing moments inspired by a journey or atmosphere. Having developed her practice since graduating from Camberwell College of Arts in 2012, she continually explores her affection for printmaking and the intimacy and surprise from the experimental nature of the process.
Her current body of work showcases a collection of intricate linocut artworks devoted to the urban landscape of New York City in a sophisticated, monochrome form. The visual documentation fuses a traditional practice with both the iconic, and everyday, narratives of American city life.
