In the contemporary world the media play a crucial role in conveying information and emotion today. Contemporary Media Practice beings together some of the questing minds and makers for a complex set of futures.
About
Working across a range of media, from shifting platforms and avenues of presentation, the graduating students’ work in this show engage not only with the world but the media that portray our world back to us. The hybrid nature of media is constantly addressed and the expanded outcomes often surprise us in their lucidity and drama. The work here presents new forward looking solutions to many issues surrounding how we speak about the world in our expressive forms.
Contemporary Media Practice is a long established course that ranges through moving media, photography, interactive digital media, animation and installation to generate some truly unique and original outcomes.
The Ambika P3 gallery space affords some of the largest and most atmospheric display areas in London, situated directly opposite Madame Tussaud's at Baker Street. In addition our screenings at the refurbished Regent Street Cinema add the gravitas of the first film location in London from the birth of cinema. This exhibition will thrill and enchant in a way that emulates the rise of the Phoenix reborn from the ashes of media past.
