About
Core@ Nolias Art Gallery presents the first solo show in London of the Italian artist Max Ciogli. Paintings, colour and sound will interact with the visitor in a special experience that will shroud the gallery from the floor to the walls covering even the façade in a site specific installation. Max Ciogli depicts the movement as an essential element for the colour and sound’s perception. The new works of Max Ciogli develop out the union of these three factors along with his new software, in which he worked recently in Argentina in collaboration with IUNA (Institute University National of Art- department of the art of movement and multimedia technology applied to dancing). The artist makes a piece where every movement generates, following a precise relation, a determinate sequence of sounds. Composing music with movement and colouring the paintings with the sounds of this movement, create for Ciogli a new world where art is the means through which language reveals itself. After four years of experimentation in the State Institute of Rome for the Deaf, he has created Musicroma, the first method to teach music to deaf people that will be presented in Rome in September. Max Ciogli links sensorial aspects which make visually impaired people able to compose music through dance. With this exhibition in London Max Ciogli opens a new chapter in his production that he has extended and will spread shortly in several countries like Italy, Argentina and USA.
