Uncertain Data brings together four artists in residence at FACT, whose work interrogates the trust we place in the data that governs us. These artworks explore algorithms that determine whether we are lying or telling the truth; archives controlled by unreliable sources; technology that operates using our physiological reactions; and speculative narratives that offer an emotional understanding of hard ‘facts’.Together, the works in this exhibition seek to defy set binaries and unpack hidden layers.
