About
Rhubaba is excited to present an exhibition of new ceramic work by London-based artist Tom Gidley. Tom has been working with Rhubaba over the past year to produce a new body of work, which will be shown for the first time in U + I = Parade.
Tom explores the materiality of clay, surface and paint to create playful juxtapositions and unexpected relationships between objects. His works are visually abstract, but use titling to complicate the abstraction by suggesting possible forms. He exploits the materiality of clay, and our innate pareidolia to explore the way we read and make sense of the visual by way of language.
