About
What does the quintessential garden look like? Join us this month for Tuesday Treasure as we look at gardening through the ages.
Highlights include the lush botanical illustrations of ‘Paxton's magazine of botany, and register of flowering plants’. Joseph Paxton was an English gardener and architect, who was given the position of head gardener at Chatsworth at the tender age of 20.
We will also be showing material by Gertrude Jekyll, a famous British horticulturist, garden designer and craftswoman. Jekyll has been described as "a premier influence in garden design" by British and American gardening enthusiasts.
Whether you’re an established gardener or a budding house plant collector, this Tuesday Treasure is going to be blooming brilliant.
