Tenderproduct and Tenderpixel Gallery present, in conjunction with the London Design Festival, a play on practice incorporating the global in the local. The Traverse Tourist exhibition invites artists and designers from several countries to create a limited edition object for Tenderproduct, these products will be installed in the shop's window. Additionally, Tenderpixel's Collectors Showroom, in the basement of Tenderproduct, will become a multi-media exhibition where the artists and designers present an art-object from their practice. Traverse Tourist plays with the notion of the lure of the local within a global metropolis and hyper-connected world. Souvenirs become blurred as practitioners simultaneously explore both product object and art object--all from the perspective of having called London home.
