Transience presents the latest in Wild’s ongoing exploration of creative and innovative approaches to fine art photography. Using a scanner as both a camera and a canvas, this body of work is a representation of transitory moments that are forever immortalised in a digital form.
Her work is all about the process and experience of making art and in documenting temporary states of being. These organic and vibrant images are unpredictable examples that represent the beautiful yet fragile nature of fluids, filled with colliding energies and turbulent forms. The shapes are captured as they naturally form and are not altered.
These images are the only trace of their short lived existence, exemplifying the role of art in creating the illusion of permanence in a transitory world.
