‘Transforming Nature, 2008' Val Kerry, Shebs Alom plus guest artists Etherow Park, George St, Compstall, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 5JD, 20th- 21st December 2008 Open Saturday 2pm- Sunday 10pm. Take It Outside Events is pleased to present an exhibition by Val Kerry, with additional video pieces from Shebs Alom and work from other guest artists. In this large scale installation, set in the surroundings of the beautiful Etherow Park, Kerry sets out to change your perceptions of your environment. Exploring themes of space, colour and questioning the viewing of everday spaces ‘Transforming Nature, 2008' Is a one off event. The opening will see all invited take the first trek around the area, watching the change in the exhibition as it turns from day to night. The interactive piece will be started by the participants of the opening event. The exhibition will be left open to visit the following day- leaving room for general park goers to be involved. The ‘Wishing Tree' will be left open to participation until 6pm Sunday 21st.
