TOUCHINTERACTIVE 2011, the UK's first open exhibition for interactive artworks, received entries from across the world after a recent call for submissions, and selected work will be displayed on The Public's touch screens from 2 February to 27 March.

About

The Public will be displaying work from upcoming and established artists, based regional, national and internationally, having received entries from across the UK and Europe. The West Bromwich arts centre, famed for its commitment to digital arts features a number of fixed interactive artworks including work by Blast Theory and Utani, together with a changing programme of work by internationally renowned artists. The open exhibition provides a rare opportunity for early career and professional interactive artists to showcase their work alongside such distinguished artists. TOUCHINTERACTIVE 2011 — displayed throughout the building on individual touch screens - includes a playful work by Ellie Harrison & Bob Levene that asks ‘How clean is your Mouse?' and a thoughtful reflection on human interaction by Coventry University student Victor Fischl.
