Ana Loureiro Fernandes Ausstellung ist eine Reise durch Zeit, Plätze, Räume und damit verbundene Erinnerungen. Sehr persönlich einerseits, erzählen sie von Erfolgen, Misserfolgen, Intimität und inneren Wahrnehmungen und bestehen gleichzeitig aus kollektiv erlebten Ereignissen: Aus geteilten Lebensmomenten mit Menschen. Besonders bedeutsam ist die Verknüpfung dieser Erinnerungen mit den Räumen und Orten, die Ana Loureiro in ihren Bildern einzufangen sucht. Die gezeigten Fotografien haben einen stark dokumentarischen Charakter; Einige der Bilder wurden exakt zu der Zeit aufgenommen, als Loureiro an den abgebildeten Orten gelebt hat. Jene Fotos, die öffentliche Plätze zeigen, spiegeln die Umgebung ihrer damaligen Wohnungen wider. Auf diese Weise entsteht eine „Karte von Wien“, eine fotografische Chronologie von Erinnerungsräumen, eine im Februar 2013 begonnene Bilderreise, auf die die Künstlerin die BetrachterInnen mitnimmt.

| The starting point are maps ... |

Maps of  Vienna which were partially marked and pointed out the names of the streets and the time period in which the artist lived. The chronological period begins in February 2013 and it extends until nowadays.

This exhibition is a journey through time, places, spaces and their memories. More than an autobiographical aspect, the essential was to create a memory connection with the space represented. This memory can be translated into a number, a floor plan or simply in the transcription of a sentence that was heard and combined with images from that place.

In these private places cohabit two “parallel universes of her memories”: the one made of private memories  -­ personal successes, failures, intimacy, introspection­ - and at the same time, the one made of collective memories shared with people whom lived in same place as me.

Some of the photos exhibited were taken in the exactly time that the artist was living in that place. The photos from the public spaces mostly correspod to the surronding areas of the houses which were recently revisited and documented.
