About
Finnish artist Tinttu Henttonen studies themes of physical and mental freedom through rope art and photography. Her works connect us to our knots and bonds - proposing that exploring our limitations essentially helps us to raise above.
Ten images of TAIVAS take us to a pilgrimage through ten mythological stories, searching for metaphors that speak to modern men. Artist is reflecting on the ancient teachings of Hinduism, Shamanism and Christianity, studying how the wisdom of established religions could be applied in modernity. Artist approaches the materialistic life as a matrix, inviting us to pay attention to the aberrations of our age and reminding us to pause before bending blindly to the dictations of our surroundings.
Galerie Mausefalle is an independent artist community and an exhibition space focused on supporting female artists and traveling creatives. Mausefalle offers exhibition space and short-time residency for international artists in Berlin.
