Contemporary art exhibition showcasing new and unseen work by Kan Kan Collective.
About
'Threshold' is a collaborative exhibition of contemporary art by Kan Kan Collective, a group of artists who have a range of different fine art practices. Their diverse work creates an intriguing synergy when exhibited together in one space. Threshold can be liminal space, the moment between the past and the next step. Threshold is also the old Saxon word for threshing floor in which grain is separated from the chaff. Threshold can be a point from which to ponder risk, maybe the risk to reach out to connect. It is the place you cross when you make movement from one space into another. It is also about the changing from one state into another. It might be the solid base from which to take the next steps, a leap into the unknown, crossing a threshold; a chance to gain new insight which could enrich the soul, maybe glimpsing a light in the dark, or the gold through a flaw or crack…
Through our lives and our art practice, we are always on the threshold of something new; new experience, progression, moving on, creation, insight, thought, understanding, relationships, connections, new landscape, shapes, forms, sounds, feelings and work displayed…
