Thomas Simpson presents a spur of the moment collision of gestures, structures and emerging ideas through the use of acrylic paints. Over the past two years his work has reflected a strong sense of uncertainty. By gradually erasing many of his initial ideas he produces improvised and intuitive structures and  gestural passages that allow glimpses of the history of the work to be read. For Thomas Simpson the artwork is a way to change his mind and to show the relationship between philosophy, the psyche and physicality.
