For Art Basel 2017, Thomas Dane Gallery will focus on the female artists from our programme, including new and historical works by Cecily Brown, Ella Kruglyanskaya, Marisa Merz, Amy Sillman, Lynda Benglis, Barbara Kasten and Caragh Thuring. Apart from the now often referenced balance of figuration and abstraction, these artists have each developed highly personal and complex styles within their work that examines the physicality of painting itself as well as the action of creation.
