The artist investigates into how human sense the world around them has gone further as she pays tribute to ancient Sumerian belief and mythology of Nibiru, a planet whose existence remains contested among the astronomical field. Through this work, the artist seeks to explore the link between an ancient civilization's observation of objects and the myth-making of human, thus how the myth intercepts with Nibiru. From this, the artist brings myths around the world together in her work and discovers their links with Nibiru. Also in her work, the performers are choreographed to present imageries of stories between Earthers and Nibiruians if the two were to ever collide.
Portia Jiabao Li's (1995, China) works span across a wide range of mediums, amongst are performance, video and sculpture, which correspond, symbiose and catalyze with Tableaux Vivants to present pictures that trace their conceptions from legend, myth and Buddhism. The artist is infatuated by how human make sense of the world, and goes on to question how the body elevates from a subject to the metaphysic state of Body Without Organs.
