About
I work between sculpture, drawing and painting. I think often about how these works in different media relate to each other. While at Gaff Space I’ll be focusing on painting.
It feels important to find a way of painting that reveals a new angle to the precarious anthropomorphic structures I construct in sculpture and the isolated landscapes they occupy when drawn. I will be trying to paint directly as a stream of consciousness; editing as I go to find what is important about each particular structure and the space it occupies. Finding and painting out red herrings and imposters which cloud the subject will be most of the battle.
