Venetia Nevill draws on elemental energies and ancient wisdoms to create multi-sensory and interactive installations. The Spirit of the Land is an invitation to reconnect with nature, both within us and around us.

The artist has developed a unique practice that captures the ethereal qualities of objects sourced from nature. An element of ritual is evident in all aspects of Venetia Nevill’s art. Whether painting with feathers and spring water, capturing the surface of trees in clay, or preserving magic moments on camera, the results are a gentle yet powerful testament to the beauty of nature.

The body of work in this exhibition is directly related to a local spring, it's iron salts evident in paintings and sculptures. Visitors are encouraged to enter a mandala at the heart of the installation to enjoy a moment of stillness, rebalance the mind and make a wish.

The cycle that started with making art from and with nature will be completed by visitors leaving the gallery with a renewed sense of connection.

Venetia Nevill creates sensory and experiential work to express an intuitive, visceral connection with the world. Tapping into the felt and unseen, she is inspired by the cyclical rhythms of nature, her ecologically informed artworks focusing on transformation and reclamation. Since receiving a BA with Honours from the University of Kent, she has exhibited and performed widely with her work held in private collections worldwide.
